It looks fabulous!!!! I mean, it’s Cinderella……how can it not be Fabulous? ūüôā

GIRLS AND LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, as I was scrolling through Facebook posts, I came across an article someone had shared and it was called Cinderella! It was written by Paula Hendricks. So, I clicked on the article and read the entire thing! It was such a beautiful article! After reading this, I was inspired to write a blog on being the Cinderella of your life!

I am sure we all know the storyline of Cinderella. Her mother died when she was young and her father had to leave for some reason that I am not sure of! So this left Cinderella to live with her Stepmother and Stepsisters for the rest of her life. Cinderella was so sweet, kind, loving, caring, and was totally selfless! Because she was all of these characteristics, her Stepmother/sisters treated her like dirt and like she was a maid. But did Cinderella blow up, complain, get super mad, or seek revenge? Absolutely not! She continued to be loving, caring, kind, and yes, even selfless! WOW!!! And because of this, she got her prince charming and her happily ever after!

Each one of us has someone we consider our “role-model.” Meaning, how they live life and do things really speaks to us and inspires us to want to be like them. It wasn’t until after I read that article that I considered Cinderella my role model! She was treated so badly and was hardly ever noticed as a “human”. She was pretty much a slave to her Stepmother and Stepsisters. But, no matter what happened to her, no matter how many times they treated her like a servant, Cinderella ALWAYS was kind, and loving, and willing to serve, and so selfless! All her life she probably had countless opportunities to be mad or complain or go-off on her Steps, but she never did! Was it easy? I would think not at all, but she continued pressing on, willingly doing as they told her. Things happen all throughout our day that make us angry, which puts us in a bad mood, ruining the rest of our day. Do you think God likes that? Do you think he means for us to go through a day pouting, or being mad over something? NO!!!!! Each day is a GIFT from God! When you wake up, you have a purpose! You and I have got to find that purpose! Satan is going to try to get in our way, or cause something to happen that makes us mad, but overcome those obstacles! Be like Cinderella! No matter what she was always kind, and it paid off for her in the end! People will be mean and evil, but if we always strive to be kind, loving, caring, and selfless, God can and will reward us! In 1 Peter 3: 8-18 God says this: “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.¬†And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness ‘sake, happy are ye:and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.¬†For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”¬†Cinderella had a fairy-god mother come to her rescue and help her get what she deserved! We have GOD by our side, always there, willing and ready to help us with whatever we need help with! Isn’t that awesome??? So, The Lord will bless those who are kind hearted and willing to serve others no matter what!

Another reason I consider Cinderella my role model is because she was so stinking beautiful! But, she did not flaunt around like she knew she was pretty. She did not dress in a manner that made people look at her. She didn’t wear the crop tops or high-wasted shorts, she didn’t wear the newest style of bikinis, or anything like that. Do you know what Cinderella wore? Her clothes were considered “rags.” Now am I saying we have to wear ugly clothes or rags? No, not at all! What I’m saying is society is throwing all of these new “trends” in our faces; and it seems like every summer, the new trend is less clothes than last summer. Girls think that they need to be half naked to get the attention of a guy or to feel pretty. But this breaks my heart! God made you who you are and how you are for a reason! Don’t let society tell you anything different! Cinderella had simple, modern clothes on, and the Prince noticed her! Was it because of what she was wearing, or what she was showing off? Nope!! He noticed her inner beauty!! What was inside showed on the outside, which made her just stunning! ¬†Inner beauty is so much more beautiful than outward appearance! I promise you don’t have to dress half naked to feel beautiful. This is not what God wants for you! What you choose to wear is also a reflection of inner beauty! Cinderella’s heart showed how beautiful she was! BE LIKE CINDERELLA!!!!! In 1 Peter 3: 3-4, God says this. “Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.” This is exactly what Cinderella does throughout her whole life! If you are a child of God, you are his princess! He totally adores you! Are you treating yourself like His Princess? Take a look at your heart. Is it like Cinderella’s? I know that I need to be more kind and more willing to serve! What about you? Are you more concerned with outer beauty than inner beauty? You are God’s princess! Don’t ever forget that!!!

Sheep!!!

SPRING BREAK!!!!! Anyone else ready???? These past weeks of school have been so stressful and hectic!!! This week is exams…..just to add to the stressfulness!! Ahhhhh!!! Spring Break cannot get her quick enough! How nice is it going to be to have a whole week of nothing??? I don’t know about you, but I can’t be more excited!

Have you noticed in the Bible that God talks about sheep a lot? He says we are his sheep and he is our shepherd (or however you spell that). That is in the Bible very often!!! All my life I have heard this over and over again. But, remember that I have said in my earlier blogs that it takes me awhile to understand things. Maybe that’s God’s way of speaking to me, who knows! But, it finally hit me as to what this means!!!

If you did not know, sheep are pretty dumb! If you led them to a hole, they would probably fall in the hole. They are not the brightest animals thats for sure! Hahah poor sheep!! So why in the world does God refer to us as sheep? Think about that for a minute before you continue reading, then scroll down!

So we have established that sheep are dumb basically, and we know that in the Bible, God calls us his sheep and tells us that he is our shepherd! Okay so why in the world does God call us sheep? Well, the answer is……….we are DUMB! So very dumb!!! A lot of times I get overwhelmed at seeing how other people’s relationship is with Christ compared to mine. But this is something I need to get out of. We will never be fully mature until we get to heaven with God! Here on Earth, we are supposed to be growing every single day! Everyone is going to grow differently, but each day we should be trying to grow closer to God. Just like a sheep needs a shepherd to lead it, we as Christians need God to direct our paths. Because once we get caught up in daily routines, we become dumb and stray off the path in the wrong direction. And we need God to lead us back to where we need to be! I certainly do not believe God is calling us “dumb”, this is just His way of telling us that we are just a little helpless being that needs a Savior to make it through every day! HOW AMAZING!!!!! Oh how I need Christ every single day! I honestly do not know what I would do if God was not with me each day! I know that I need to get better at trying to find Him in every day, but I know he is there with me, guiding me, leading me in the right way, just like a shepherd leads his sheep, so God will lead his children!

John 10:11 – “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

Psalms 100:3 – “Know ye that the LORD he [is] God: [it is] he [that] hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
